I don't know that it's the app, but my YAS-109 has been a disappointment. It switches source frequently, often when you switch to a different source. Also after a length of time, something times out, and another source switch. Frustrating. sound is great. Tried everything but manually updating the firmware, which according to the app, is up to date.

I cannot think of a single solitary half decent reason that I need Yamaha to track my position to control my sound bar. edit 2026-01 I finally installed this app again and allowed them to have my gps location. I did it because my sound bar sounds absolutely terrible and I hoped I could fix it with the app. It doesn't work. The app will not connect to my sound bar. I hate this thing.

No longer works. Worked fine for over a year then I stupidly allowed it to take a firmware update and now it is terrible. Cannot connect app using Galaxy S22 ultra. Sees soundbar and i can add password but then never connects. Often says I am on another network even when I only have one and have disabled 5g on eero. I'm. Tried everything, resets, reloading firmware, reloading app. no go. We all expect better from Yamaha!
